2021 - Ongoing

Hineinu

Since 2021, CJNV has run our sustained solidarity presence project, Hineinu.

Hineinu means “here we are” in Hebrew. In practice, that means continuously showing up in coresistance with our Palestinian partners to protect their land and oppose Israel’s systems of occupation and apartheid.

During Hineinu, participants join a small cohort of people who live together and alongside our Palestinian partners in Masafer Yatta for three months, resisting land dispossession through accompanying shepherds and documenting settler attacks, military violence, home demolitions, and land seizures. Those who join Hineinu also amplify voices and stories of resistance and resilience from the ground.

This work is all done in close partnership with Palestinian community leaders in Masafer Yatta and in coordination with Israeli and international groups active in the area. Our partners have made it clear to us that this presence is meaningful, important, and has the potential to shift violent power dynamics in the field.
